What to Expect

A typical first time consultation includes:

· 90 to 120 minutes of personal one-on-one discussion

· A comprehensive review of your medical history including diagnosis, symptoms, current medications, vitamins, supplements, and allergies

· A complete lifestyle assessment of your food likes and dislikes, physical activity level, work, family and home life, routines, food behaviors, and individual stressors

· A participative process where you are actively engaged in forming your own realistic, attainable self management goals to achieve individual wellness

Together we will explore and formulate strategies to overcome your individual barriers to good nutrition and wellness.  I do not simply dole out a diet and tell you to “eat this and not that.”  With my guidance, you will find an individual level of structure to fit your needs, no one else’s.

Follow-up visits
are 60 minutes and are typically scheduled two weeks from the initial visit. These visits focus on support and encouragement, progress evaluation, and continuous goal setting.  Medical nutrition therapy treatment plans for eating disorders recommend weekly visits.
